We were there with eight people and all had ordered something different. That was no problem for the kitchen. Everything came almost at the same time and tasted very good. For dessert, we men have made us on the single malt. That was not a bargain but excellent !!! Since we were the only guests that evening, we were served personally by the boss. He was very attentive and has responded to each of our special requests.

The visit to the Gastwerk was unfortunately not the hoped for pleasure. The food could not meet the high expectations that evening, i. For a really great roast, greasy fried potatoes and ice-cold salad were served. Furthermore, it is common in a wine tavern to get a drink menu to get an idea of ​​the range of drinks, but this is the secret of the staff. The recommendation of the Stuttgarter Zeitung is surprising, because one should use terms such as Champions League, etc. not so negligent, also is the "highest league" in the catering m.E. the Michelin Guide, and of it the Gastwerk is really miles away. I would say this is a tip for whiskers, but not for the average Swabian, who might want to drink comfortably quarter after dinner.

The service could not keep up with the quality of the food: Despite reservation, it took a few minutes until the service staff graciously assigned us a table. We did not feel welcome and this impression was reinforced during the evening. The menu is clear, on the drinks menu we waited in vain. The vegetarian dishes are a bit unimaginative (potatoes with vegetables or vegetable dumplings ... which, however, were not ready yet, according to the waiter said). Food and ambience were very attractive, but the staff seemed a bit uncoordinated (3 x wg. Asked for payment, single payment was only after repeated request). Service and claim gape unfortunately pretty much apart. We actually expected more from the press and internet presentation. In the future we will go back to Curryteria. Every guest is welcome.
